Background

The Duncan Print Group is a reputable printer based in Hertfordshire and has over 75 years experience within the industry. They handle all sorts of printing and packaging from conventional litho to digital print, pack or carton design and production.

Brief
At Motivation Marketing we were tasked to carry out a consumer study in attitude and awareness of specific printing & packaging companies and the industry in general. Additionally, Duncan Print requested that the survey be conducted anonymously, without any implication of their involvement in the project.

Solution
Working closely with Duncan Print we helped to design a telephone survey consisting of twelve questions about printing & packaging companies. We then undertook the calling of a list of contacts from companies who were either currently using Duncan Print, had used them in the past or were prospective customers that Duncan Print hope to attract.

The calls were made in the guise of an independent research company doing a generalised study into the print and packaging industry. Within the survey we named six different print companies (one of which was Duncan Print) and asked the contact whether he or she had heard of them, never heard of them or had used them. By concentrating on the companies that they had heard of or used (which in most cases was Duncan Print) we were able to obtain and then feedback a comprehensive overview of opinions on the Duncan Print Group as a company.
